Add Custom Icons To Page Links

This is a TUTORIAL on how to Add icons to the menu items in Admin and Member accounts.

You should notice a small icon preceding the page links in the left hand menu and on the admin home page quick links. You can replace these icons with one of your own if desired. Note: For best results with displaying the custom icons appropriately, please use square images that are 16x16 pixels.

Once you have arrived at the website section editor, you have the ability to edit any pre-existing webpages on your website. You also have the ability to add new webpages entirely. Locate the page you want to edit by expanding the section under which it resides and then click on the Edit link next to it.

In the Page Editor, scroll down to the Icon Image URL field and then enter the path name where you have uploaded the icon file, and then click on the Save button at the top right corner of the page to save and apply the changes. If everything goes right, then the icon will be displayed as expected.

Example Notes

  • You can use external links for the icon to be displayed in your system. For example, http://domain.com/image.jpg.
  • If you have uploaded the file in the system File Upload manger, then use the path name as, /clientinc/upload/images/home-icon.jpg.
  • The system also lets you use an advanced icon set from Font Awesome. Simply use the code for the icon, e.g.fa-file.
