The Volume Adjustment Tool is used to alter the volume assigned to a particular member. The most common reason for doing this is if the member had points flushed because they did not have qualifying volume for the previous commission period. Check out Binary Point Flushing to learn more.

On this page, you can modify the member's volume by simply entering the values in the correct leg and then clicking on the Update button to save the changes. The page will refresh, showing the new amounts. Note that the volume adjustment will not affect the upline or the downline volumes.

  • Period: The current commission period. | Profit Ctr: This is only relevant if you have multiple profit centers in your comp plan.
  • Left Volume | Right Volume: Enter the value of the volume in the correct leg that you want to add for that commission period.
  • Period Status: The current payment status of that commission period. | Update: Clicking on this button would confirm your action.

How the Volume Adjustment Tool works

  • This function (tool) works ONLY for the Binary Commissions Plans; or the Binary portion of your Commission Plan in case you are a Hybrid. This tool will update the Carry Forward volume for the next period. For e.g. If the admin puts volume in for the last period, then on the commission run of the next period, the system will grab the new carry forward volume and add any new volume to it to calculate the member's binary commissions.

  • If the distributor hasn't got the minimum required volume per period requirements, (not qualified with order or autoship) then his volume will be flushed. This volume update won't affect any upline or downline volume, but will ONLY affect the member you are adjusting for. In other words it is not actually adding or subtracting volume from the tree; instead, it is ONLY modifying the particular members carry over volume. If you are trying to find the volume for a member before it flushed to re-instate it, you may refer to the earnings page which shows the volume for all past periods.

  • Note: The member will need to have qualifying volume within the current period to carry the adjusted point total forward when the commission run processes. If you have confusion regarding the volume adjustment idea, then contact INS before you use this tool.

  • If you set a manual title flag for a distributor, then that distributor still needs to do the system minimum required volume, to avoid volume flush. But he will still get other commission types for his flagged title. In this case, he would only lose binary commissions. Also, there is a flag called Maintained. If you set this Maintained flag for a distributor, then he doesn't need to do the required volume. His points will never get flushed.

Question: Where does customer volume get credited? I know it is a Members personal volume but what side of the binary?

Answer: It is treated as the member's own volume, so no side for the sponsor. it's like volume from their own purchase unless customers are placed in the binary tree. In that system, customers are not in binary, so all volume generated by customers would be treated as sponsor's own volume.
