Linking to Internal Pages

This is a TUTORIAL on how to link a internal page using the web-editor.

Before you proceed with this tutorial, please read through our Webeditor Backup tutorial which will help you if you save an unwanted change.

Once you have created a page, you will want to know how to get your website to link to that page. To link to a page, you must first grab the Url File Location, so edit the page you created in web editor. A screen like below will display.

Notice the Url File Location, you will want to copy the whole url so in this case, /common/clientCustom.asp?UID=50362

Click the Hyperlink button(chainlink image) which will launch a pop up.

You want to paste the Url file Location that we copied earlier into the URL field. We are not done with the link yet, to make it work we must add a special addition to the URL. We need to add the following exactly as it displays. &guid=[guid]&sectionid=1 It needs to be exactly like that. So your url will now look like this. /common/clientCustom.asp?UID=50362&guid=[guid]&sectionid=1 as you can see in the picture above.

Add a Title, which is the name of the link, so if you wanted to say click HERE to goto the link, you would add HERE into the title box. In this example, I have used Test Page.

Go ahead and click ok, then don't forget to save the page you have just edited. Once you have saved, you can goto the page and test it out.
